Taking A Stand
I remember I had to take a stand on how rap is music. My best friends dad felt that rap isn't music and I feel other wise. He feels like rap is just a bunch of words thrown together. I told him rap is just like singing without the melody. He argued otherwise but I pushed that fact forward that rap is music. You can almost look at rap as a sport. For example basketball and soccer both use a ball but the ball is used differently. That's how rap music is, it uses words just like singing but it is produced in a different way.

I also think that rap music fits into the category of music because it is expression of ideas and emotions through rhythm and words. I am excited to see your performance in the Variety Show.
